Analysing a past students blog

The past students blog I decided to look through and analyse was "Freddy's AS Media Blog". The link for his blog is here: Freddy's blog. Freddy's blog got into the Level 3 range.

The good things I found about his blog was:
1. The frequent use of video links (to Vimeo)
2. Good use of images throughout
3. Frequent updates and shows development throughout, he also writes like hes keeping a diary.
4. Use of proper English and formal vocabulary throughout

Out of these 4 positive points I would most like to incorporate into my blog is the use of images and the use of proper English,
Why I find these to be good...
The use of video links helps to break up the large amount of text and also shows that he has a wide knowledge of different media and how they work. This is also relevant to the use of images. The frequent updates and diary format would help to keep a rapport with the invigilator.

The bad things I found about the blog...
1. He didn't correctly embed the link for the prezi and therefore it needed to be copied and pasted into Google, this would of just increased the presentation of the blog
2. Sometimes he used too much text and didn't break it up as much as he could of done                      
Overall Freddy's blog was very good and there is a lot of aspects that I would like to adapt onto my blog, it has also pointed out areas which I will be careful not to include in my blog.
